I thought the sig thing was retro-active (sez so here). What gives?
Esprix is an old-timer here, and was posting when the Board used UBB software. When we converted to vBulletin, the converted UBB posts+sigs became posts. Note the extreme age of the thread you have linked to, and the moniker “Guest” under several person’s names.
In my day, we didn’t have no fancy-schmancy vB code - we used UBB! AND WE LIKED IT!

Actually, Anthracite lies. I have special powers. Special Old Timer Reg Elite Clique[sup]TM[/sup] powers, but I’m not allowed to talk about them*. I can change my sig at will. I can also bend spoons with my mind, 'cause - and this is the best part - there is no spoon!

None of you know who Esprix really is. But I do.
For one thing, he is the founder and CEO of a Global Chemical Company, specializing in ceramic microfibers and heat exchangers for power plant use.
To launder some of his money, he went into the risky European Hotel Market. Well, he’s still no Sheraton or Hilton over there, but he’s giving the Inter-Continental chain a run for their money.
Then, of course, comes his website Esprix.org, (aka Esprix.ch ) where he shows off his tri-lingual abilities (he’s actually Swiss). He sponsors an award in business excellence - from his site:
He’s got an incredibly cool logo, as you can see on the top left-hand portion of the page.
So you see…having multiple sigs is just one miniscule feat for him.

Then, of course, there’s fake sigs. Ya just type them in manually with each post (or write a macro to do so for you). Popular with a few folks, from what I hear, but they’re hard to notice.

“Fake”? You make it sound bad. Isn’t that what some mods do, vary the signoff every time?
