She was married to Richard Wagner. Did they rule out suicide?
He had a rock-solid alibi, having died in 1883.
Perhaps the bruising can be explained by the pounding she got from the dingy she was trying to climb into. Or maybe a few of those came from Wagner and/or Walken in a drunken fight.
How long after death do bruises stop forming, or become distinguishable from premortem?
Oops:o
[Dr. Evil] “#2, I want you to drug your wife’s drink, then drop her overboard once she’s unconscious.” [/Dr. Evil]
I guess she couldn’t Walken on water?

I’ve called for a bus, that handbasket won’t fit us all.
Shotgun!
I used to have a sign posted in my office: “Where are we going and what is the handbasket for?” I had several people ask me what it meant.:smack:
I know I have nothing to add here, so why am I so compelled to jump right in?
Because you want to make waves?
Hope floats?
So they’re fishing around for clues again? Did oceans of evidence suddenly surface?
Sorry.
Even if Wagner were to be arrested it seems that any good attorney would challenge the “assault wounds” theory (pretty certain Wagner could afford the best). How can it be proven beyond reasonable doubt the injuries weren’t due to post-mortem trauma after being in the water for x number of hours/days?
Unless there’s a new smoking gun, re-hashing this is a waste of time and money. Perhaps Walken decided to talk?
I 65% think there was a physical fight and Wood was accidentally killed. Wagner-Walken threw her in the water; a murder or manslaughter charge would be a career killer.
And I 35% think they were all seriously drunk/stoned and the guys went to bed. Alone on deck, Wood went overboard accidentally or purposefully. For what it’s worth, a biographer claims that Wood struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts throughout her life
More like plumbing new depths in bad taste. ![]()
So she was trying to drown her sorrows?
