How many times more likely are you or your children to be shot while shopping or at school than to be harmed by an LGBTQ person in the lavatory or a trans athlete on the field?
Hint: it’s a big number.

Oh that is absolutely a huge part of it. Really Americans economic sentiment have been very negative since 2008, and it may not be a coincidence that there has only been one incumbent winner in that time.
And people (including in this thread) are mad about the outputs of policies from local democrats over decades, including home prices which the president can’t do anything about.
I will say possibly the biggest own goal of the Biden administration (other than obviously not dropping out until very late) was not being aggressive about free trade. He or Harris didn’t even get any populist street cred out of it, just a complete waste. And it wouldn’t have had a huge effect on inflation overall but some things like the baby formula shortage didn’t need to be as bad and some of the inflation backlash is stuff like that where it didn’t matter at all to me, but for the people it mattered for it was pretty fucking important.
‘Sew uer sayin imma run outa feets fingers ifin I tries to mathametise it?’
Well, she did say she wanted to ban “assault weapons”:
I feel very strongly that it’s consistent with the second amendment to say we need an assault weapons ban. They’re literally tools of war they were literally designed to kill a lot of people quickly. - KH
And I assume her definition of “assault weapons” would include the very common AR-15. Which means she wants to ban a gun owned by me and millions of other citizens.
That really isn’t the same thing – At. All. – as:
They’re going to ban your guns and your religion
The latter is a hyperbolic exaggeration (in civil terms, a Straw Man Argument) of the former (in the case of the one you picked, it’s also designed to sell more firearms and ammunition).
It’s like saying that raising CAFE – Corporate Average Fuel Economy, or mandating the use of seat belts – means you’ll have to ride a bicycle.
I haven’t read one, single new idea or approach in this thread.
And if we don’t improve, were gonna lose again.
Maher is wrong? OK.
I can buy that.
But start by self-reflection.
Because we lost.
The woke crowd has never been allowed off the curb.
Democrats don’t run on woke issues. Republicans run against woke issues.
I just watched a video where a woman related a story about a Trump voter who was very upset to learn that Trump was going after the ACA and not just Obama-care . . . I can’t think of a new way to fight people’s inherent stupidity.
This. It only takes one side to keep something in political consciousness.
I guess all the Democrats yelling at Moulton are just figments of our imagination or Republican agents?
Pretty much. Who are all the Democrats yelling at Moulton? What are their names?
There’s no position so extreme that somebody won’t take it. You just have to keep the other side from broadbrushing all of us with ammo supplied by some of us.
Older images of RW-er’s misspelled signs come to mind, especially the “Keep govermint hands off of our Medicare” one.
She most certainly is not. She pretended not to even be trans for as long as she could get away with it, then tried to come out and say she was “one of the good ones.” She has repeated every transphobic lie in the book. Every trans person I know only listens to her to debunk or mock her.
There’s a lot of schadenfreude that MAGA is rejecting her, even.
You might as well be citing Caitlyn Jenner.
(Not intended to be mean. Just to inform. I know it can be hard to tell from the outside, and, if you’re sympathetic, we need you on the inside. Because trans people are not giving up any more we in the past.)
Pretty much. Who are all the Democrats yelling at Moulton? What are their names?

Even as Democrats rebuked Representative Seth Moulton of Massachusetts for saying he didn’t want his daughters “getting run over” by “formerly male” athletes, he defended his remarks.
His campaign manager quit in protest; Gov. Maura Healey of MA criticized his comments; etc.
She most certainly is not. She pretended not to even be trans for as long as she could get away with it,
That’s a pretty gross way to characterize it.
She never denied being trans or pretended not to be. She didn’t openly comment on being trans, because she didn’t want identity politics to distract from the messages she did choose to convey.
There’s a certain attitude that if trans people are not activist or militant enough, they aren’t REAL trans people; that’s the vibe your comments give (unintentionally, I hope).
then tried to come out and say she was “one of the good ones.”
Do you even listen to yourself? You’re over here lecturing her about transphobic tropes, then accuse her of trying to be “one of the good ones”? The irony is off the damn charts.
She has repeated every transphobic lie in the book
Big claim to make while providing 0 evidence.
Every trans person I know only listens to her to debunk or mock her.
That probably says more about your bubble than about her.
There’s a lot of schadenfreude that MAGA is rejecting her, even.
Why would MAGA not reject her? She’s very much anti-MAGA. She isn’t trying to be accepted by them.
You might as well be citing Caitlyn Jenner.
Her positions are nothing like Caitlyn Jenner. She’s not a conservative millionaire.
(Not intended to be mean. Just to inform. I know it can be hard to tell from the outside, and, if you’re sympathetic, we need you on the inside. Because trans people are not giving up any more we in the past.)
You don’t get to unilaterally decide what the inside and outside are. Maybe she is outside of your activist circle; I’m not judging her based on that, I’m judging her based on the points she makes.
His campaign manager quit in protest; Gov. Maura Healey of MA criticized his comments; etc.
So… no yelling at all.
So… no yelling at all
They didn’t literally come up to him in person and vocalize in an elevated volume, no.
I’m simply telling you the way things are. Trans people do not in any way respect Briana Wu. She is seen as a self-hating trans person. These sorts happen with every minority. They think that, by cozying up with their oppressors, they won’t be targeted. It’s a self-defense mechanism.
Attacking the messenger will not change the message. I’m informing you of information you did not know.
Being outside is the default. Unless you’ve made a decision to join in and talk to trans people, you don’t know what you’re talking about. There’s no inherent shame in that, as long as you listen when you’re told you’re wrong.
If you’re not trans, you can only join the movement if you are ally. That means you listen to what trans people say. You do not have the knowledge or experience necessary to decide if what Briana Wu says is accurate. It’s easy for a swindler to trick people who don’t know.
Again, you seem to want to help. So I hope you will listen. Briana Wu is not in any respected in trans circles and is considered an enemy to the trans activist movement.
This is just factually true.
So, all the Democrats yelling at Moulton are just figments of our your imagination?
