To break it down… Maureen Downey is a pretty insightful education writer for the Atlanta Journal Constitution. She posted a piece about three scholars who did a study that points out that homework as it is currently given leads to better test scores but no necessarily better grades or comprehension. The study authors support the idea of targeted homework tasks that show level one and level two problems. This study looks at math and science.
After reading the piece… the results in the comment section are that she just advocated kids not doing homework. TO all the educators and people engaged in pedagogy… i see the point… We the parents are generally working against you…
