I have been to a website sometime in my life where I could type in a street address (I live in Atlanta, GA) and find the value of the home, and a little history about the home.
I can’t seem to find any such website now. Do anyof you know of a website that displays public records information, such as how much a house cost, etc? I don’t know if it was specific to the Atlanta area or not.
Any help would be appreciated.

Find your county auditor’s Web site. For example, I can find my home’s value here (no it’s not a link to my HOUSE, you stalkers!)
Seconding ZipperJJ’s response - there’s a website that gives me that information for houses in my county as well. The online availability of this sort of information is probably a local thing.
