The dinosaurs we dig up died off millions of years ago, long before written history existed. Or human beings, for that matter. So what are the ancient accounts of dragons describing?
Interestingly, there is a decent case to be made that some tales of fantastic creatures were attempts to make sense of fossils: “Here’s a skull that looks like the head of a lizard … but it’s huge! We better get out of here before a living one shows up!” A few generations later you have stories of dragons. But that doesn’t mean that dragons really existed.
That’s the problem right there, isn’t it? This is “Great Debates” but you haven’t actually posed a topic for debate - merely stated your beliefs.
You “just started” to list evidence, rather than presenting it up front. That’s either laziness on your part or an attempt to engage dishonestly with other posters. Neither does you any credit.
So, how about presenting an actual topic for debate and the main bits of evidence that go along with it?
Thank you. I have decided that I should not believe in ghosts, as that only seems to encourage the sneaky little bastards. And I must say that I have stopped believing in space aliens after meeting too many of them – they are too inconsistent for any reasonable person to believe in them.
I’ll stick with good, traditional “little people;” faeries and their ilk. Those are beings a person can believe in.
So, do you actually want to discuss any of this? That’s the usual reason people post threads on message boards, but to get a discussion going, you’re really going to need to give us more than that to work with. What are your reasons for believing these things? Do you think these things are related to each other? Does believing these things, regardless of whether they’re true or not, somehow make you a better person? Are there similarly-unusual phenomena which don’t have a nice simple label (like, if there are werewolves, are there also wererats? Weremice? Werejellyfish?)? If you don’t want this thread to be composed entirely of people pointing at you and laughing, then give us something else to discuss.

If by “witch” you simply mean a person who practices Wicca, nobody doubts those people exist. Not much debate there.
If by “vampire” you mean some goth ponce that has no supernatural powers but wears a cape and drink Clamato juice and pretends it’s blood, also nobody doubts these people exist. Still no debate.
You’ll find that the overwhelmingly vast majority of people here believe in the principle of Occam’s razor; that is, “the simplest explanation is most likely the correct one.”
You are trying to convince us otherwise with no compelling facts.
