I think I heard a comedian named Juston McKinney talk about getting one of those. As he put it, “That pug is either a victim or a slut.”
My family ended up with a litter of Rottweiler/Bloodhound puppies due to an unforseen mating (the Bloodhound father had been fixed, but it seemed he had an undescended testicle). Of the litter, all came out looking Bloodhound except for the runt, who sadly died soon after birth. They were cute and rambunctious and, bizarrely, all deaf (IIRC, there were four or five survivors in that litter).
Duh! Sounds like a pretty basic mistake by the Vet. Undescended testicles are not uncommon in young dogs, and only a minor complication during surgery.
How hard is can it be for a Vet to count one, two?
Thanks for the elaboration, Chronos. I didn’t have time to elaborate much when I posted and it should have occurred to me later that even though I know that very well, not everybody does!
My personal favorite “breed” name given for a mutt was a Georgia Mountain Dog. They’d found him in the mountains in Georgia. Nice dog.
There is a dog up the road that I really need to get a photo of.
Visualize a pug head on a Rottie body, without making any size adjustments. Ugliest thing I’ve ever seen.
