OK, this is obscure.
As a wee lad, I read some Archie Digest comics in the late 70s. This would be 1978-1980. I think probably 1979.
This was a series having to do with cute aliens or something like that. It lasted for several issues. My memory is vague, admittedly.
I would be curious if someone remembered what it was. It would be a real blast from the past.
Here’s page one of the cover archive for Archie Digest. Sadly, the covers seldom reflect the contents, but maybe something will jog your memory?
Thanks. It’s hard to figure out what issues would have been out in 1979.
Abercrombie and Stitch? They date back to* Little Archie Comics* back in the '60s but the digests in the 70’s were mostly reprints.
Thanks, but that wasn’t it. They were short cute things.
No, that’s from the 1950s. This was 1978-1980.
I refer you back to Elmer J Fudd’s post.
Archie digests in the 70s and 80s had plenty of stuff from the 50s. And the 40s. And the 30s. Sometimes with a little touch-up to remove obviously dated stuff - giving the date just gives you a ‘latest possible first appearance’.
Good info. I don’t think it was Cosmo though. It was like a whole tribe of aliens.

Man–they’ve changed Abercrombie and Stich’s look.
This is what they used to look like (keep in mind that Archie is like 5 years old here to get an idea of how short they were)

Sometimes they left the dated stuff in. I remember an Archie Digest in the 80’s that obviously took place during WWII, because the girls were drawing stocking seams up the back of their legs with eyebrow pencil! That story was older than my mom.
