Recall Governor Schwarzenegger?

IIRC, is seemed ridiculously easy to force a recall election for Gov. Davis, though I don’t remember the specifics. Is there any group actively trying to do the same to Ahnold? Does the law remain unchanged, or was there rewrite immediately after the election?

There have been no changes to the recall laws in California.

Primarily because there haven’t been any chances to have an election.

For all I know there could be a “formal” group dedicated to his recall, but there almost always is for any governor in California. It doesn’t take much to start a recall effort.

It takes a lot to finish it off.

The general consensus is that he is doing a reasonably good job given the fucked up situation that he was handed. He’s been all about compromise where at the end neither side is totally happy but both agree that he was fair. He’s a real live moderate in a world of extremists so there isn’t a huge group of people that he’s pissed off. If an election was held today, he’s beat the pants off of pretty much anyone.

In short, there is no real effort anywhere to recall Arnold.
