I just made tomato soup with lime juice. It was kickass.
Worcestershire sauce. Making food awesome for… well a really long time.
Mustard/mustard powder is a must for any sort of cheesy vegetable soup, as is just a little bit of hot sauce. This recipeis my standard “it’s cold outside and I want something hearty and warm” soup, but I substitute bacon for the ham.
I add garlic to almost anything with meat in it. Even just one clove will add a little extra depth to the flavors.
My rule on garlic is that, if it makes sense to ask the question “should this have garlic in it?”, then the answer is always “yes”.
Absolutely correct. And if the answer is “No,” then you add vanilla!
