I’m currently doing some part-time consulting stuff on the side (in addition to my day job) and I’m considering quitting my regular job to become a fulltime consultant. However, I have absolutely no patience for dealing with the bureaucratic crap – making invoices, sending them, depositing checks, etc. Since I only have one major client right now it’s not a big deal, but if I were to take on several clients it would drive me nuts.
I hear there are companies which you can hire where you just tell them how many hours to bill each client, and they take care of all the invoicing and collections, and may even do your 1099s for you. Does anybody have experience with such companies? Any recommendations on who to check out or where to look?
