Recommend a CD by the Waterboys! (Sountrack?)

My boyfriend was recently watching a movie with, according to him, a killer sountrack in it. He can’t remember the name of the movie, but he saw in the credits that the songs he liked were by the Waterboys. Because he can’t really buy anything where he’s currently located, I wanted to buy it for him and send it to him.

My questions:

  1. What CD would you recommend for someone who’s never heard any of their stuff?

  2. What movie was it, and is the soundtrack for sell?

Not alot of info, I know, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

Room to Roam. A bit more, I dunno, eccentric, than Fisherman’s Blues, but also good.

Room to Roam does have “A Lifeful of Sundays”, but it doesn’t have “The Whole of the Moon” which is a must. So go for “This is the Sea” or “Whole of the Moon: The Music of the Waterboys & Mike Scott” IMHO :slight_smile:

Thanks for the replies. I’ll probably go with This is the Sea. That soundtrack looks awesome, so I’ll probably get that too and then “borrow” it from him when I get a chance. :slight_smile:
