The Salvador Dali Museum is in St. Petersburg, not Tampa. They’re close but not quite walking distance (for most).
Ybor City can indeed be interesting, but there is surprisingly little Cuban food there these days. Mostly the Columbia Restaurant. IMO their food is just okay and a bit pricey for what it is; they do have an interesting Flamenco show. There is a newer version of the Columbia on the Pier in St. Pete. This IS walking distance from the Dali museum. No idea whether or not they have a show there, though.
An hour north of Ft Myers is Sarasota, which has the Ringling Museum and Ca D’zan, Ringlings mansion. If there was ever a demonstration of the difference between great wealth and good taste, Ca D’Zan is it. It’s still a great place. The art museum is world class. The mansion is the tacky spot.
