That’s it really. I need a new download manager, just something so I can shut my machine down halfway through a download without losing everything,

There’s lots of free stuff out there, but can anyone name one that works and doesn’t have spyware or other bugs?

I really like GetRight. It’s one of the few shareware apps that made me want to go pay them the fee for doing such a good job.

I heartily second this. GetRight is really excellent. I tried quite a few back when I first had a terrible dialup connection, and this was by far the best of the lot.
