I love elephants and find them fascinating. I want to see a really good documentary that celebrates elephants. What I don’t want is something that has lots of really sad stuff about poaching and elephant slaughter, etc. I’m just not emotionally stable enough to handle that kind of thing.
I watched part of a documentary once that showed an elephant migration… a baby elephant got separated from its mother. It eventually found the scent and followed it…
…in the wrong direction. The implication was, this baby elephant was heading out to die, thinking it was following its mother. I think I cried for several hours.
So I want to avoid that kind of thing, but I really want some stunning nature documentary stuff on how amazing elephants are. Does anyone have any recommendations? Keep in mind that I have the emotional stability of a wet kleenex when it comes to animal stuff.
