I’m looking for a good easy to use photo editor for under $100. I want to be able to edit photos (e.g. removing automobiles or planes from landscapes, changing the color or merging with another photo, etc.). The main use will be for my blog, greeting cards and other items. Any suggestions? I’ve looked at titles by Broderbrund, MS & Adobe and was wondering if anybody had used any of these and strong feelings about them either way.
Photoshop Elements is the same as Photoshop, but without the stuff you need for print work. I highly endorse it.
Paint Shop Pro is probably a little over 100$ US but it’s a great program. I think you can download a trial from www.jasc.com.
Polyview is quite nice – and it’s shareware. Get it here.
PhotoImpact. I prefer it to even the almight PhotoShop and it’s only 80 bucks. I’ve been using it for years and it’s done everything I’ve needed it too. Awesome software.
Definitely go for Photoshop Elements – 80% of Photoshop for 50% of the price. A tutorial book is recommended but not mandatory.
Or get the GIMP - Free and good.
