Recommend a good video capture card please?

I’m putting together a computer this week, and one of the main upgrades I want is a CATV in port, so I can record tv shows when I’m not here and store them/burn them for later viewing. I was looking at a Radeon 9200 All in Wonder at walmart, and it seems like it would sufficient right now, but I don’t know if it will/does support Direct X 9, and I know that will probably be required for future games that I might want to play. I looked a little online, and see PCI cards that are specifically used for video capturing, but it seems like that might be a little taxing (and a little pricey) having an agp video card as well as the pci running cable in. My budget is about $200, but I’d rather not spend every penny I have on this, which is why I was thinking about the aformentioned 9200aiw, which was only $150.

Would it be a better idea to keep using my geforce4mx440 until I can afford a top end video card, or is the 9200 a pretty solid card? Do PCI CATV-in cards use alot of systems resources?

computer will be p4 2.8, 512 ddr400 ram, asus mobo. got a 40 and 80gig hd in my current computer, which will carry over to the new one once parts arrive.
