Recommend a Mexico City hotel

Sis and I are looking to spend a weekend in Mexico City.

We’d like to visit some museums while we’re there, specifically the National Art Museum, the Museum of Anthropology, and the Frida Kahlo Museum.

Where should we stay? I found some good info here, but am not really familiar enough with MC to know where to go.

Any recommendations? I would like to stay somewhere where we can get to the museums easily (or at least easily for Mexico City). Or, do you think that these three are too spread out to accomplish in a weekend? (The National Art Museum is the highest priority.)

I’ve been to Mexico City before (at least, flying in and out!), and sis never has. I speak good enough Spanish to deal with most things, and of course safety is very important.

Any guidance you can provide would be most greatly appreciated!

An amazing hotel with an amazing staff. Large rooms with great wood floors, beautiful colors and paintings, and huge, clean bathrooms. a staff that always greets you by name and will go out of their way to help. Don’t stay at some cookie-cutter chain, get the experience of the city and stay at a smaller, personal, hotel.

I Stayed here several years ago. It was a fantastic hotel, and very reasonably priced.
