Recommend a PDA

Someone I know wants to get a PDA for Christmas. He wants Bluetooth support to communicate with his cell phone and Dell notebook PC. Also, he already has an older Palm handheld, so most likely he’d be interested in a newer one of those rather than a Pocket PC PDA. I know that the Palm Tungsten T5 has Bluetooth. Can anyone suggest anything else? Does anyone have any experience with the Tungsten T5? The review at PC Magazine said that there were problems connecting via Bluetooth.

I have a Tungsten T3, which I love – unfortunately, I don’t use the Bluetooth feature, so I can’t comment on it. And I’m not familiar with the T5. The T3 is an excellent PDA, though.

I recommend the Treo 650 - it is a cellphone as well as a PDA (this makes mobile email a lot simpler, among other things) - I have the Treo 600 (lower res screen, no bluetooth) and I am thoroughly satisfied with it. If you’re accustomed to using graffiti for input, you have to install a third party application, but that’s not too difficult.
