I don’t understand refrigerating peanut butter. I’ve never had to do that with any peanut butter, even the natural kind without the stabilizers that keep Jif-type peanut butters from separating.
My favorite peanut butter is Naturally More, but it’s not what you’re looking for since it is sweetened with cane sugar and honey.
I hadn’t thought of storing it upside down before opening and stirring. This should make it easier to avoid slopping oil in my eye when I mix it. Thanks for the tip.
ETA: The alternative would be to visit a natural foods store, like Earth Fare or Whole Foods, that has nut butter grinders right there in the store and you can make your own unadulterated nut butter.
