Recommend a source for driving directions

Tried Mapquest. It sucks. Both times I used it, it was technically correct, but ambiguous and at times misleading. Tried Yahoo. It sucks. The one time I used it, it sent me down a road that did not exist. So, does anyone out there know of anywhere that I can get driving directions that are actually accurate? It doesn’t necessarily have to be a website; I’m willing to make a phone call or shoot off an email. I just want to make sure I get clear and specific directions to where I’m going, as I’m going to be cutting it close time-wise anyway, and don’t have a lot of time to waste getting lost. Any recommendations?

Or, failing that: who wants to give me directions from Roanoke, VA (starting on I-81 N) to N. Albany Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ?

Try Rand McNally, I like their maps better. :stuck_out_tongue: [sup]DUH[/sup]

Hey, yeah, that’s right…maps give detailed driving directions to and from specific locations. Silly me, I forgot about that and was thinking they were diagrams of interstates, highways and major roads.

Hmm…I just got my Rand McNally road atlas, which I conveniently have in my glove compartment, and I opened it to the page for Virginia and asked it how to get to my destination’s address. It didn’t say anything. I tried it again on the page for New Jersey, and still didn’t get anything. Maybe mine’s defective. Or maybe maps and driving directions are two different things.

And maybe you should read the question I actually asked, and post a reply to that instead. :stuck_out_tongue: [sup]DUH[/sup] Actually, in case anyone else was confused, let me rephrase:

Does anyone have any useful recommendations?

Or maybe I’m an idiot, and the linked site provides driving directions as well. Still don’t know what the “duh” was about, but I apologize for blasting you.

A :smack: and a  for me. Bad Roland.

The Rand McNally website does have driving directions available. Or perhaps Maps.com ?

Never mind.

(Don’t get lost.)
