Recommend a web host to me

I’m thinking of moving my corporate site to a different web host, due to reliability issues. It’s less than 100Mb at the moment. I’m looking for something that is:[ul][]US-based.[]Very reliable.[]Has accessible real-person support.[]Very good record of reliability.[]High delivery speed.[]Runs CGI.* inexpensive.[/ul]Anyone with experience care to recommend one?

I can give you an anti-recommendation: www.addr.com. Their services might be as awesome as they think they are, but I never found out for myself, because their website ordering system doesn’t work. The emails I sent asking if my registration had gone through weren’t answered for two weeks. (So much for the “superior customer service”.) Of course, by then, I had no interest in doing business with them.

Before I got webspace from my roommate, I used www.cedant.com. They had me hooked up within hours of signing up via their website, and responses to emails came within hours, too. I can’t say they’re the best or anything like that because I’ve never dealt with any other hosting companies. But I can say that they treated me well.

www.mato.com. The pride of Spearfish, SD. I’ve used them for both commercial and personal sites and they’ve provided good service (not 24 hour, they’re small) and dirt cheap rates.

And they won’t ding you if you go over your space limits.

Depending on how big the CGI thing is, I may or may not be able to recommend Conversant.

It’s a dynamic internet groupware tool, but it doesn’t run CGI.

On the other hand, it has all of the other requirements, plus the administrative interface is being updated even as we speak.

How do I know this?

<horn tooting> Mr Wolf and I are paying for it, damnit! </horn tooting>

Verve Hosting is a good web host.

I’m running a small site at pair Networks, and have had no complaints with them at all.

As you can see at their plans comparison page, they offer 4 different levels of service, three of which offer a pre-existing CGI scripts library, and two of which allow use of custom CGI.

I’d say they meet your other requirements.

Thanks all for your suggestions.
