Recommend me a URL logger

I’m using Google Chrome and want a log of every URL Chrome accesses. This is primarily to catch malware. I could install a proxy server, but that seems excessive. Is there a simpler route?

click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of your chrome browser and choose “History” or ctrl+H

No idea if that tracks malware pages because I use an adblocker and have chrome set to not allow pop-ups unless I allow it for a site.

ETA: never mind… you probably want something fancier than that.

3 dots > more tools > developer tools >sources tab will give you all the URLs for any page. Is there an option in there somewhere that will generate a log maybe?

Try playing about with chrome://net-internals/ too

That just logs the main pages, not all the junk the pages I visit pull in from wherever.

Good spot. The Events log in there is basically what I want, but continuously logging, and perhaps trimmed to the last week or so.

I downloaded Fiddler 4, freeware that does what you ask and more. One feature (the reason I downloaded it in the first place) is: you can substitute your own file for any net-requested file, e.g. use your own modified version of a Javascript whenever a page requests that Javascript!

Things for reminding me of it: I’ve just fired it up and may play with it some more.

ETA: I often type near-homonyms of an intended word, as I’ve shown here by leaving the wrong word, rubbed out. Does this mental disorder have a name?
