I have an iRock 530 MP3 player. It comes with iRock Audio Manager to organize, upload and download music to and from the device. It sucks (the software, not the player). I’m looking for something that will work with my player, but is a lot better at organizing music files on my computer. As it stands now, Audio Manager has no way to limit file types, so I have to take what it gives me and wade through tons of unwanted files to find the files I want. I can take files off the list, but only one by one, which takes FOREVER. So, what can you recommend for me?
Sorry, I dont think you’ll have much luck finding an alternative to the software. I looked as well. What other files are you getting through your audio manager? Are you getting network tones like sound bites for screen savers? You may just have to create one master file on audio manager with your music files and create your playlists from there. The iRock tech support is no support, very much a post the info and run type of company.
Shit, I’d be happy if I could just get my XP to recognize the player as a drive like it does with digital cameras. Or at least be able to configure Audio Manager to find only MP3 files, fer chrissakes. GAH!
This is very annoying.
Well, I found something on the iRock! site called Download Manager. It seems to fit the bill quite nicely. It works directly with the files and folders on your hard drive, and can be set to view only MP3 files, which makes finding and organizing music for my player very easy. Guess I should have looked there first, huh? Anyway, I’m happy now.
