I used to rollerblade quite a bit about 10 years ago. I was lucky enough to be able to go to work that way, so I put on quite a few miles. I feel like I got pretty decent at it, as far as feeling confident enough to go just about any degree of incline, with varying degrees of traffic and obstacles, etc. After I moved to a rural area, I stopped using them, and now I would like to purchase a new pair.
So, what can experienced roller bladers recommend? I am more interested in speed and going long distances than screwing around with tricks and fancy maneuvers – so I’m interested in larger wheels. My last pair also had some type of automatic braking mechanism that I disliked, so I would like to avoid that… other than that, I know nothing. I wouldn’t want to spend much more than 200$. Any recommendations?
