Recommend to me a CANNED non-alcoholic beer.

A good friend of mine has to quit drinking for medical reasons.

We will still have fun together but I need to find a canned NA beer we can both enjoy while floating in my raft. A misplaced bottle could break and cause several thousand dollars in damage.

He currently likes O’Douls Amber but I can’t find it in the can. Any suggestions for a canned non-alcoholic beer we could enjoy?

Thanks,

That’s not going to help him quit.

Just a warning - NA beer does still contain alcohol. It’s a very small percentage but it’s there.

FWIW, “has to quit drinking for medical reasons” doesn’t necessarily equate to “is an alcoholic and is trying to beat an addiction”.

Beeradvocate has good reviews for Kaliber, and at least one serving claims it came in a can. It’s put out by Guinness, so in theory it should be pretty readily available. The only NA beer I drink with any regularity, Labatt Nordic, seems to be pretty available in cans here and tastes reasonably good, but that might prove difficult if you’re further from Canada.

I like Kaliber, but I’ve seen it in bottles only.

Man, I think that I’d switch to soda rather than try to drink a non-alcoholic beer. As it is, I have to severely limit my beer intake (also for medicinal purposes) and I haven’t found a non-alcoholic beer that I like. I do drink my share of iced tea, which comes in plastic gallon jugs if you want to take it on a raft. Perhaps you and your friend might like to sip some tea, in plastic cups? It’s fairly cheap, too. You could brew it yourself and put it in a Thermos, too.

Maybe I’ll toddle down to the liquor store later and look for some Kaliber. Summer is nearly here, and I get thirsty.

Old Milwaukee makes 12 packs of NA brew…

Might be just the thing for refreshment on the river, light and crisp.

Sharps? I’ve only seen it in a can.

Never tasted it, though. I think Miller makes it.
