Recommendations for a crossover or small SUV?

The Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry and Start System is part of the Technology Package on the Grand Touring Model. It also includes Navigation System, Bi-Xenon HID headlights, Auto-dimming Rearview Mirror w/ Homelink remote, Smart City Brake Support System (auto-braking at low speeds if a collision is imminent). If you skip the package, then you don’t get the push-button start.

I’m not sure what your aversion to push-button starting is, but I had the same reservations when I bought my 2012 Mazda CX-9. For me, it was the lack of a physical key and the possibility of a malfunction, the remote transmitter could get damaged or the battery in it could die. But Mazda actually included a physical ‘emergency’ key inside the remote and a small plastic cover on the steering column that hides the physical slot where you can insert the key and start the vehicle just like any other car! So the push-button start will never cause you to be stranded due to a technology failure.

I love the keyless entry feature, where I leave the remote in my pocket and press a tiny black dot on the door handle to unlock the door. The only time I ever need to use the buttons on the remote is to open the power tailgate…which I never use because I’m not that lazy…yet!
