I always thought of Todd Rundgren’s albums as meticulously crafted, beautifully produced, demos where other people who CAN sing can shop for their next hit. After all, the real money is in the songwriting. I’d especially like to find a “Zen Archer,” but I’m open to all suggestions.
I disagree with the implication that Todd can’t sing - Acapella is a wonderful example - but I’ll recommend some people that I think are better singers than Todd.
One of the best Todd concerts I’ve ever seen was a production of his albums Todd and Healing. It toured, and in each city a local choir was recruited. The choir master would come in the day before to work with the choir. Sadly the one that was on the DVD was the least seasoned group, but one city featured the choir from a black church, and they did an amazing job. I spoke to some of the ladies of the choir after the show, and one told me “That boys got SOUL!”

I’m going to have to find some of those.
For some reason, more women than men have covered Todd’s songs. The Dutch singer Mathilde Santing has covered him 14 times. Here she is with Todd and the Metropole Orchestra singing Love In Disguise from his score for Up Against It - which is a wonderful example of Todd’s self-destructive tendencies/perversity/hard-headedness/whatever. He was given the opportunity by Joe Papp to write the music to a Joe Orton play that The Beatles rejected. Papp probably expected that Todd would take the money and write a bunch of faux-Beatles tunes, which he could have easily done. Instead, Todd write a bunch of showtunes, and the critics savaged it.
