We had a state election in NSW today. As I noted in this earlier thread, the ballot paper for the Legislative Council had 333 candidates on it.
Does anyone know what the record is for the largest number of individual names on a ballot paper?
Dunno mate, but there was one either two or three NSW state elections ago that dwarfed today’s one. It was the sort of thing you’d have expected Carl Sagan to use to write VERY BIG NUMBERS on. I remember it being at least four feet long. Today’s was a mere pup.
Yes, I remember that one, it was huge. But I don’t think it had as many individual names on it. It was just wider because it had more groups. At least, that’s my recollection.
