Listen, “throwaway lines” are the worst sort of passive aggressive bullshit in the world. They can’t be ignored, because ignoring them gives the appearance that one agrees with them. To then protest that people are making a big deal about what was “just a throwaway line” is serious douche behavior, in the same vein as teasing a little girl until she bursts into tears and then exclaiming 'I was only JOKING. Why’s she got to be so SENSITIVE?".

Also, see how I made this comment in the Pit thread, where it is appropriate, and not in the Elections thread, where it is off topic?

This bears repeating because I doubt the point has penetrated what appears to be a thicker than normal skull.

I also found the “oh poor persecuted me” response to what twickster said in the Election thread to be pretty pathetic:

Seems to me the rules are selectively enforced, since I get insulted about 10 times a day here… and no one seems to ever get a ‘warning’ about it.

I should also point out that most of the posts I added to this thread ARE on topic. Other folks are the ones who are going nuts over throwaway lines.

Furthermore dumbass, YOU couldn’t stay on topic from your first post in that thread because you had to make a crack slamming Islam. And that was only the second post in the entire thread! RTFirefly posted what has to be the most non-partisan OP I have seen in the Election forum in a while. But, YOU just couldn’t stand letting an actual discussion take place free of partisan politics or offensive slurs.

The fact the comment was the result of your apparently limitless ignorance and bigotry just makes it more annoying.
