Nobody, including me, has a problem with his expressing his opinions. That’s what message boards are for. His supposed “throwaway comments”, however, are deliberate snark and intended to rile people up, which is pretty much the definition of a troll. I spent a very large portion of my working life as either a government (state and federal) employee or as a civilian contractor, and his remarks are offensive to me. I would venture to say that I have more experience with military, government workers and contractors than this cheesedick has ever had, and he’s way the fuck off base in his sneering remarks. I’d be willing to bet that part of it is envy on his part for having to take military pay while contractors were making real money. Well, you makes your choices and you takes your chances, bub. I have a niece and a nephew who are both school teachers, and who work damn hard to be the best they can be. So fuck you on that score also, lamebrain. Keep a civil tongue in your head.

I’m willing to engage Recovering Republican in intelligent conversation. I’m just unmoved by arguments that hinge on racism, patriotism or American exceptionalism and as far as I can tell that’s about 75% of his repertoire.

Well, my sample size is small since I don’t usually meander through the Elections forum (it’s very repetitive - there must be ten or twenty threads on Republican hopefuls - and it’ll likely stay that way until the primaries), so the margin of error could be plus or minus 40%.
