Fresh from a debate over whether or not recycling does more harm (using energy while processing the materials, using fossil fuels and creating fumes or whatever that pollute the environment). I was hoping for the straight dope from Cecil, and thought I’d find it here, but I’m still unsatisfied. can anyone give me some hard evidence either way? I think I’d be happy to find out that it really is doing some good, though there’s always that sick pleasure one gets when do-gooders aren’t really doing any good at all.
