I heard in traffic school last weekend that yellow lights are usually timed to the speed limit, but that if you’re going faster or slower, you’ll get messed up. Haven’t tried it yet.

Another wrinkle: I found out my company is one (if not the only one) that manages the red-light cameras in the DC area.
