It’s really weird to say that something that trampled on minority rights isn’t something that trampled on minority rights because it was a pissing contest.
Minority rights can get trampled for lots of reasons. The tramplees are still squashed.
Some of the latter posts in this thread are drifting pretty far afield from the original question. It’s fine to have some discussion about the definition of the relevant terms, but let’s not have this thread become an argument about politics.
