So is it true that people on reddit mostly share rumors or false info and are usually wrong? A friend told me this. Is this really true?
Reddit has hundreds of millions of users. There’s no such thing as “people on reddit.” There are individual subreddits which have their own cultures, rules, and customs.
As @Johnny_Bravo says. I’m fairly active on Reddit, but I stick to specific subreddits that are germaine to my interest. Some of them are very useful, with intelligent redditors who know what they are talking about. Some are full of idiots and trolls.
Regardless, if you, @Jagraze1 , are looking for a “source of truth” for things, any social media site, on its own, is, generally speaking, not necessarily going to be particularly trustworthy. “Some random redditor” might be actually well-versed in a topic, and worth listening to, but he might also be an ill-informed moron, or an active troll, and it may not be easy to tell the difference.
