Check it out: The South Will Rise Again. If you like rednecks, know some rednecks, have redneck relatives or are yourself a redneck, and also are interested in zombies, you owe it to yourself to check out this trailer.
There’s no IMDB listing for this movie, so I suspect that Travis Nicholson and Blake McClure have a screenplay, and managed to shoot enough scenes to put together a trailer, but don’t have the resources to actually make the movie. Maybe if the website gets enough interest, they’ll be able to secure funding.
Actually, there is a series of books (collections of short stories) called Bubbas of the Apocalypse* where everyone BUT the rednecks are zombies - seems the chemicals in the generic brand of BBQ sauce they love protected them from the virus that turned the rest of the world into zombies…they’re put out by Yard Dog Press. These are some of the funniest stories I’ve read in a while (especially since, growing up in the South I probably know someone exactly like some of the characters in this series.
