Bing Crosby and David Bowie sang this back in 1977 for Crosby’s last Christmas special, and it’s been a favorite of many since then, I think because of both it’s quality and it’s novelty. If it were to be redone today, which two singers would you pick for the job? Your picks must both be living, and wildly divergent in song style.
My pick would be Dolly Parton and Lady Gaga.
Keith Richards and Michael Buble.
Harry Connick, Jr. and Jack White.
Lemmy and Björk
John Tesh and Jack White.
Pitbull and Reba McEntire.
Kenny Rogers and Kanye West
Splitscreen Punk Pat Boone/Laid-back Pat Boone.
Best so far!
Has anyone ever covered it?
Not bad-at times I thought they were lip synching it.
That song is so iconically Crosby and Bowie to me that I have a hard time imagining anyone else doing it. It’s possibly my favorite piece of christmas music. If I were in charge of redoing it, I’d get Christopher Porterfield and Brother Ali to cover it.
Tom Jones and Justin Timberlake.
Annie Lennox and Cyndi Lauper.
Tom Waits & Harry Connick jr.
Tony Bennett and, lessee…me.
I got the chops for it. I’d even let him pick which part he wants to sing.
Julie Andrews and Cyndi Lauper.
Ozzy Osborne and Alice Cooper
Cliff Richard and Marilyn Manson.
Or should that be ‘Vs’?
