What’s the secret? They always leak.
You mean refilled ones?
I tried using a refill kit; it was a waste of time and money.
If you want to try to save money, Pelikan makes a reusable catridge (you just replace the ink tank, not the print head). But it doesn’t have as much ink as the standard HP cartridges, so I don’t think you get any real savings.
Depends on what HP printer. There are probably a 100.
Also, ya supposed ta use some vaseline to seal hole so it don’t leaka.
Depends on where they leak.
And, no, please don’t use vaseline anywhere near your print cartridges, unless you want to throw it away and buy another.
Normally they will leak for a short time from the printhead itself, while the pressure inside the cartridge equalizes. The inside needs to be at a slight vacuum compared with the pressure outside of the cartridge. If it leaks from the hole punched in the cartridge, the plug from the refill kit doesn’t fit properly and should be replaced. Don’t mop the head with a paper towel or tissue, it just wicks more ink out and clogs the head with paper fibers. Just let the ink drip into a sink until it stops. Also, don’t rinse the cartridge with tap water. Use either distilled water, or, preferably, a cartridge flush solution.
I’ve been refilling for years, and while you can refill several times (if you push it), the print quality is better if you refill only once or twice at the most.
I tried re-filling and while some may have the knack the usefullness of a refilled cartridge was hit and miss re leaking and/or the cartridge refusing to print after re-filling. My experience with refill kits mirrors that of Realitychuck.
Wont Print? Find a sink, squeeze it until ink comes out that hole then use it after running a cleaning on it.
Still, no one mentions what model printer & some of them you just cant do.
