Refrig: What's HCFC? HFC?

Ok, the conventional refrigerants being phased out were CFCs which stands for chlorofluorocarbons. So, what’s HCFC? HFC? Is “H” for hydrogen? Or, halogen, perhaps?

As I write this, I WAG “HCFC” is hydrochlorofluorocarbon? And, “HFC” is hydrofluorocarbons? This makes the most sense to me.

Can anyone confirm? Or, clue me in? Thanks!

HCFC is hydrochlorofluorocarbons.

HFC is hydrofluorocarbons.

I found these by entering “HCFC” in a Google search.

Apparantly my cut and paste skills are a bit lacking. Get rid of the “s” at the end of both of those words.
