ZombiesAteMyBrain, if you use “preview” you can catch coding mistakes before they’re published, thereby freeing up the mods to deal with the “bigger issues” you mention and freeing you up to complain about other things. It’s a win-win!
I didn’t ask for my coding to be fixed - I have never before addressed this mod online, AFAIK, and I certainly didn’t ask to be called a disgusting name because the mod. concerned has so much contempt for my computer ability.
Would you be happy if a moderator called you a ‘douchebag’ for making a coding error? I’ve seen tons of coding mistakes on these boards before, and I don’t remember ever seeing this sort of response from a mod. to any other member.
Regardless of what the mod. implied in his post, I do not call other people names on this board, and I think I have a right to complain when he insults me for making a mistake that others make all the time with no comment from him.
Maybe we can get Ed to put a big red A next to their names, too…

ZombiesAteMyBrain, when somebody gets under your skin and really really annoys you on a message board…it doesn’t end well. UncleBeer has explained why he did what he did–you can disagree with it if you want, but there’s really nothing more to say now.
As for Tubadiva, she stepped over the line but the reason she was up to the line in the first place makes me think that she’s basically a good egg, and the suspension length is appropriate.
This is no small error. In case you missed it, you should probably go back and read Ed Zotti’s official statement again:

You can post wherever the fuck you want but don’t expect anyone to care if you get insulted in the Pit because THAT’S WHAT HAPPENS IN THE PIT.
