Relatively Simple Question About Snowboards

how long should a board be for a rider just on the plus side of 200lbs? thanks

doesnt length depend on weight?? if not what does?

There are two factors: your wieght and the type of snow/terrain you will be on. Here is a nice site with a chart for you to use.

BTW, do you know the difference between a snowboard and a vacuum cleaner? The location of the dirtbag.

Haj

lol funny VERY funny hajario hahaha… i hate u =)

IANA knuckledragger so you may want to ask one.

It would depend on your riding style. If you want to play in the park you will want a shorter board then if you want speed and to carve. From vauge memory I would say that 150-160 should be OK for that weight for an all around (or entry level) board.

well im about 5’9" 200 lbs (i know i know…) so if thats helps at all…

From the cite (helps if you click on it)

Small Mountain, Hard Snow, over 160 Lbs - 150cm and up
Big Mountain, many terrains, variable snow, over 160 Lbs - 155cm and up
Big Mountain, back country, steep, deep snow, over 160 Lbs - 160 - 190+ cm

i did click on it, ty

LOL - I love it.

Also as stated it depends where you will board (the general conditions) harder snow = smaller (and thinner board to a point) board
