We planned out annual trip to Europe around Christmas New Years months ago. We are booked and flying out second week of December. Contacted my cousins in Belgium to say we’re coming. They live in St.Truiden , Limburg about 40 minutes from Brussels by train. Passing through Bussels should be interesting.

I can’t imagine things will still be problematic by then - I’ll be fairly surprised if the alert level stays this high through to the end of the week, in fact. It must be costing a fortune.
Brussels airport is at its normal state of alert and everything is working as well as it ever does, as far as I know, as is everywhere outside Brussels itself - your trip should go smoothly. (Or at least if there are problems, they probably won’t be linked to the current unpleasantness. There’s always a risk of snow or strikes or something…) I hope you have a great time!
