Reliability of Digital Pulse Wave Analyzer (medical q)

So, the majority of my bloodwork is awesome, and always has been, but some of my numbers this time were just odd enough to prompt my doctor to pull out this test as a tiebreaker. According to the test, my cardiovascular health is not as good as I would have expected.

Since I had never heard of this test, I got home and consulted Dr. Google to see how widely used it is, is it considered reliable, how are the results evaluated, etc. What I am getting is a lot of hits for: 1) people selling the things and 2) veterinary (equine) applications.

Since I am healthy in nearly every other measure, I am not too worried, and content to ramp up exercise, eat better, and give red yeast rice a try. (My doctor is fine with this approach until/unless there is additional evidence I should be on statins.) I will get tested again in a few months.

Really, though, is this an established technology/application? Should I be making major decisions based on it? I appreciate that my doctor keeps up with new technologies, but I think sometimes he is too enamored of shiny new toys.

bump.
Nobody? Perhaps that is my answer.
