Reminder - Arrested Development premiere Monday, Sept 19

I plan on sticking around for Kitchen Confidential, Big Bad Voodoo Lou. It looks hilarious. I have the entire hour set to record.

Did you ever read Anthony Bourdain’s book that the show is loosely based on? I think you would enjoy it. I’d mail it to you to read if you wanted.

Send it on! I’ll mail it back when I’m done with it. I’ll send you my mailing info shortly.

Thanks for offering to do this; it’s really sweet of you.

Nobody is watching this great show, so they put it on opposite Monday Night Football? Good move.

The fact that the NFL declared this hurricane relief weekend and moved the New Orleans game to Monday Night, opposite the premiere, must hurt.

It won’t usually be on opposite MNF, at least not here in the central time zone.

And the Saints are my favorite team, so I’m excited to see them play tonight, but they’ll have to wait on the DVR, Arrested Development comes first!

Monday Night Football isn’t the powerhouse it used to be, and it doesn’t start until AD is over. Except this week, which is going to hurt.

Not a rogue seal. A loose seal. The difference is important. (Newbies: Say “loose seal” out loud a few times. Then say the name of Buster’s mother.)

Except here on the West Coast, naturally. I’m guessing Bearflag is a fellow Pacific Timezoner. We poor saps didn’t get to vote in “Emmy Idol” either. Damn the Eastern Time Zone!

The question of Maeby’s legitimacy was solved way back in the pilot episode.

“You’re my cousin, right?”

“Maeby!”

A bit more about Tobias: Before becoming an actor, he was a psychiatrist. He lost his license because he administered CPR to a man who was merely napping. He broke the man’s ribcage.

Oopsie!

Let me repeat that then:

‘Arrested Development’ season premieres tonight, Monday, September 19, at 8/7c.

It’s the final countdown to Arrested Development and I couldn’t be more excited!

They will. It will be another Happy Days alum, Scott “Chachi” Baio.

I propose that the “Milford Academy” now be the official place that sitcom characters go when they just mysteriously disappear. Chuck Cunnigham? At the Milford Academy! Donna’s sisters from That 70s Show? Milford Academy…

Wa wa wa!

That kid who sent to his room on teh soap opera and was not seen again for over 30 years… Milfred acamdemy.

They may not necessarily still be there. One thing the kids learn there is how to hide really, really, well. They are probably in the background somewhere.

Probably took a lesson from Buster and wore a shirt that matched the wallpaper.

He, like everyone else in the family, is an idiot. The only difference with him is that he’s a good person.

He craves Michael’s approval. Everything he does is to hopefully get his brother to tell him, “Good job.” But, as I said earlier, he’s an idiot, so he just screws it up.

Michael isn’t quite as stupid as all the other Bluths, though.

George Michael and Maebe are both smart – probably smarter than all their parents. But George Michael is a really good guy like his father (probably more ethical), and also neurotic, whereas Maebe is pretty amoral.

I think he also learned stealth at Army.

OK, look, gang, I made the change, but NOT because you asked about it in this thread. I made the change because one thoughtful soul send a REPORT POST message, which I saw in my email and was able to react to.

Please, please, just posting something in the thread – even if it’s in large red letters – doesn’t attract my attention unless I happen to read the thread. I read fewer than half a dozen threads each day. If you want the attention of a Moderator, use REPORT POST.

Dex,

The problem I always had with that was the icon says “Report Bad Post.”

I always feel like I am dialing 911 to ask for the time!

He’s less of an idiot, and he’s the only dependable one. I think Buster has actually become a decent person as well, but Buster has his limitations.

Maeby is very clever, but she’s no good at the book learnin’ and doesn’t think things through. Depends on what you mean by “smart.”

I forgot about Maebe’s proud “C m-i-n-e-s” and her crocodile in spelling.
