Reminder - Arrested Development premiere Monday, Sept 19

LOL! She’s intelligent, she’s just lazy.

Intelligent enough to be a movie studio executive at least.

 I’ve been REPORTED! I have a permanent record! If I suddenly stop posting, tell my mother I love… SIGNAL LOST

To the dramatis personae, add:

The Narrator - Ron Howard, co-executive producer of the series, and blessed with some of the BESTEST lines.

And THAT’S how you narrate an episode!

So, uh, are we doing a live-time Arrested Development. . . big sweaty pile-on I mean, watch-a-thon?

Hehehe, I love this show.

If no one has said it yet, Michael Cera. . . is gold. :stuck_out_tongue:
“Taste the happy, Michael!”

“It…tastes a lot like sad.”

Ditto. I nearly did, but then I came to the part which said something to the effect of “Only use this button for emergencies.”

I just love everything about this show.

Apparently Barry Zuckercorn is now going into the lucrative business of male prostitution, with Tobias as his first client - in drag again, no less!

I love that GOB bolted at soon as he found out that Steve Holt! is his son, setting the stage for Steve and Maebe to make out.

Lucille going off her meds was great - both her behavior and her reason for getting off pills. “That handsome young doctor on the ‘Today’ show.” Awesome.

The “Taste the happy” “Tastes like sad” exchange was HYSTERICAL. Bateman and Arnett just play so well off each other that I think I enjoy their scenes more than any others.

Damn that was hilarious.

“That’s not a Volvo.”

“It’s a little boxy”

“I saw a hansome young doctor say that medication wasn’t good.”
“Mom that was Tom Cruise”
“Well he said he was a scientist of some sort”

“Remember when I said he had a kid?”

“Yeah, why wouldn’t she want him back”

“That will be $50.00”

My only issue with this show was: not enough Buster. And the one scene with Buster in it, his voice sounded wierd.

Other than that, pretty good.

Happy

funny it still tastes like sad.

Agreed not enough Buster… still he was used right.

(paraphrasing)

Barry: “Michael! How much do you know?”

Michael: “Well, I know my uncle is in prison, my father has escaped, and you’re in cahoots with him.”

Barry: “Oh, a lot!”

I’m going to miss Barry though. :frowning: Still - great great episode. I’m going to have to watch it again before I go to bed.

Yeah. ‘I decided to sleep in the car so you wouldn’t hear me snoring. And I used the tape recorded so you wouldn’t know I was gone.’ Great!

This show will never do well as long as the execs keep running it against programs like MNF and various HBO buzzsaws.

Match it up against some shitty reality TV on Thursday and be done with it.

My husband and I just watched this show for the first time tonight. By the time the second commercial break rolled around, Mr. Bawlmer said to me, “We **have **to go rent the first two seasons of this show!” So yay AD, you have new fans.

Buy, don’t rent. You won’t regret it. I’ve probably watched season one 3 times since buying it. Some eps, 4 or 5. And it never. Gets. Old.
Who says I’m obsessive?

Season two won’t be out on DVD for a few more weeks, I think.

You can preorder season 2 from Amazon.com for $27.99. I’m always thrilled to hear about new fans getting into it.

And hey, Best Writing in a Comedy Series! That’s two Emmys in a row!
