I have a customer having massive problems getting into his email in London, Spain, Italy, etc. Anyone here use godaddy email at email.secureserver.net and have problems pulling email while out of country?
My suspicion is he is using public access terminals with javascripting disabled. I instructed him to use the Lite email client option on the login page (a checkbox) but hes to busy being upset that “I lied to him” about being able to access his mail anywhere and that its going to require extra steps now to follow any further instructions.
Per godaddy support there is no reason why he cannot access his email as long as he uses the “lite” client option. I don’t know enough about the nuts and bolts of the service to say a certain common browser in another country may or may not have a problem.
I have never had any problems but I have never checked from out of the US (even though this makes no sense to me that you could not).
Since I have full admin priveleges to his email systems I am also pondering opening a new email account just for a test.
Can any eurodopers shed any light on this?
