Removing Inaccurate Info from Google Search

I have recently asked a message board host to remove an inaccurate statement of fact about a company that I am involved with. The message board host verified that the information was not true and promptly removed the page.

The way that I found the message was by typing the company name into a Google Search. Even though the web page doesn’t exist, a Google search will still show the name of the site and the preview panel containing the inaccurate information about the company.

Does anyone know how I can remove this from Google? How long will it be there for?

Definitely one to search for in Google

Here’s Google’s answer to this.
