While I was trying something for a school project (the details aren’t important, and they make me look stupid, so I’ll leave them out) I dropped and broke a CPR dummy. The dummy is called “Little Anne.”

Two irregularly shaped pieces, one about 1 square inch big and one about 2 square inches big, broke off around the bottom of the head. The breaks are pretty clean, and no pieces are missing.
I am currently trying to repair it. My first attempt is with Devcon 2-Ton Epoxy:

If that doesn’t work, I don’t know what to try. Does anyone know what might permanently bond hard plastic? It has to hold together, because it’s used in a CPR class. If it doesn’t get fixed to the satisfaction of the CPR teacher, I’ll have to replace the dummy, and it costs at least $165 dollars. Any suggestions?
Ttry buying a replacement part here, or from the manufacturer, Laerdal..
Since you are talking about a life saving training device that takes a lot of use, my advice is don’t mess with patchwork repairs. The repairs need to stand up to repeated chemical cleanings as well as physical stresses, and I’d be quite surprised if the person who is responsible for maintaining the dolls would find any repair you did acceptable.
You broke it, you bought it.
[pound, pound, pound] Live, dammit! Liiiiiive!
Thanks for the advice. I’ll run it by the CPR teacher and if she wants me to replace it (grumble) I will. I didn’t see a way to replace only the head (not the face, but the head) on either site-- did you?
No, but you might call the manufacturer’s tech support for an unusual part replacement… maybe it would be cheaper than replacing the whole thing.
