I have a concrete water feature in the yard. There is a small (4x4x5/8) square that sits in the water and thru which projects the pump nozzle. This past winter, possibly through freeze/thaw, that piece broke into four fairly equal chunks. I’m trying to figure out what the best method of putting them back together may be. Epoxy? Any help?
You might try Gorilla Glue.
Epoxy, Silicone cement, or Goop.
I wouldn’t use Gorilla Glue.
Good. I’ve got some two-part in the garage and will give it a shot.
I would use chemical anchor resin, there’s nothing better. I’ve rebuilt broken walls, kerbstones, floors and all sorts with it. It sets in 10-15 mins and ends up stronger than the concrete! The downside is you need a special applicator gun to push the resin and hardener out of the tube, but they aren’t expensive, and are usually sold alongside the tubes of resin at most builders merchants. Try what’s in your shed first, but if that doesn’t hold, chemi anchor will.
Anchor glue will be much better. Hardware store epoxy might be water soluble, possibly lasting years, but slowly degrading.
Yep, I’d use this Hilti Adhesive Anchor or some similar product, You can use your own caulking gun.
I’ll check the local True Value to see what they’ve got.
The closest thing TV had was JB Weld. It seems to be doing the job, but I’m going to let it set for a couple of days more.
