Replace "Love" with "Lick" in Song Titles/Lyrics

Lord, I lick your commands/ more than gold is your word, so precious to me.

What wondrous lick is this, O my soul, O my soul!
What wondrous lick is this, O my soul!
What wondrous lick is this that caused the Lord of bliss
To bear the dreadful curse for my soul, for my soul,
To bear the dreadful curse for my soul.

And I am blessed with Jesus’ lick

I’m going to hell for this, aren’t I?

…and to continue with emekthian’s route…

Jesus lickes me this I know
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones to Him belong,
They are weak but He is strong.
Yes, Jesus licks me!
Yes, Jesus licks me!
Yes, Jesus licks me!
The Bible tells me so.

Jesus licks me! He will stay,
Close beside me all the way;
He’s prepared a home for me,
And some day His face I’ll see.
Yes, Jesus licks me!
Yes, Jesus licks me!
Yes, Jesus licks me!
The Bible tells me so.

Ooo, ooo, I wanna try!

Love my lick pump…

Hrm. That doesn’t work very well, does it?

Have I told you lately, that I lick you?

And they called it… puppy lick…

If you could only see how blue her eyes can be, when she says, when she says she licks me.

I lick you, you lick me, we’re a happy family.

If licking you is wrong, I don’t wanna be right…
Lick hurts, lick scars, lick wounds and mars
Any heart not tough nor strong enough
To take a lot of pain, take a lot of pain,
Lick is like a cloud, holds a lot of rain …
Lick hurts …
Oooh … lick hurts

The day after my wedding, we got rid of the oldsters, and spent the next day just drinking and fucking about.

Late into the evening, I introduced our guests to something very similar to the OP, based on a somewhat shaky - but effective - premise:

the verb “to glove” someone means “to masturbate” someone.

Once this has been taken on board, one may substitute “glove” for “love” in any number of songs.

I don’t believe I have ever laughed so hard in my entire life.

“Glove, glove me do, You know I glove you”

“Oooh I need your glovin’, guess you know it’s true…”

“My endless glove…”

“Have I told you lately that I glove you?”

“How deep is your glove?”

“I wanna know what glove is… I want you to show me…”

“Glove me tender, glove me sweet, never let me go. You have made my life complete, and I glove you so…”

Etc.

“And darling I/ Oh I…/ Can’t get enough of your lick, babe…”

[hijack] Up until now, I thought that line was… "love hurts, love scars, love wounds in bars". :smack: [/hijack]

screech-owl’s provided my favorite so far. Of course, Roy Orbison is a personal favorite of mine. Here’s one by another personal favorite - Alice Cooper. (Yes, I have eclectic tastes.)

"I Love the Dead"

*I lick the dead before they’re cold
Their blueing flesh for me to hold
Cadaver eyes upon me see… nothing

I lick the dead before they rise
No farewells, no goodbyes
I never even knew your now rotting face*

Really, the mood of that song doesn’t change too much. How about this one?

"I Love America"

*I lick that mountain with those four big heads
I lick Velveeta slapped on Wonder Bread
I lick a commie… if’n he’s good and dead, yup
I lick America

I lick Old Glory and homemade pie
I think them Ruskies should be sterilized
I lick my chicken Kentucky Fried…
Finger Lickin’ Good!* [Or should that be “Finger Lovin’ Good!” ]

I lick the bomb, hot dogs and mustard
I lick my girl, but I sure don’t trust her
I lick what the Indians did to Custer
I lick America

"Wonder Who’s Loving Her Now"

And I wonder who’s licking her now
Yes I wonder who’s licking her now
Who’ll fall flat on his knees?
Who’s gonna wake up too late?

What about people…

Courtney Lick
Jennifer Lick Hewitt

Anyhoo…

[screeching halt]

Better’n mine: until I looked up the actual lyrics, I always thought it was …eeen aaaarz. No actual words, just like “rama-lama-ding-dong” or “tra-la-la”. Years of listening to the Nazareth version does nothing for understanding enunciation.

“Lick hurts, licks scars, lick wounds in bars” - must be one of those “special private clubs”.

[/screeching halt]

How sweet it is to be licked by you…
Maybe I’m amazed at the way you lick me all the time.
Maybe I’m afraid of the way I lick you.

Je te lèche…
Je te lèche…
Je te lèche…
Je te lèche…

From Bob Marley, “Is This Lick?”:
“I want to lick you, and treat you right.
I want to lick you, everyday and every night …
Is this lick, is this lick, is this lick, is this lick that I’m feeling?”

From John Denver, “Annie’s Song”:
“Come let me lick you,
Come lick me again.”

Others:
“When a Man Licks a Woman”
“Lick Don’t Cost a Thing”
“Lick Will Keep Us Alive”
“I Was Made for Licking You”

Sometimes lick just doesn’t work right, and in such cases try substituting the word drugs.
Which sends the **J. Geils Band ** out on a quest…
“I’m lookin’ for drugs.
I’m lookin’ for drugs.
Any way, any day, I’m lookin’ for some drugs to call my own!”

Some work:

Because You Lick Me
Lick My Way

Others, however:

Lick Is A Battlfefield
Endless Lick

…I remember when
You couldn’t wait to lick me
Used to hate to leave me
Now after lickin’ me late at night
When it’s good for you
And you’re feeling all right
Well you just roll over
And you turn out the light
And you don’t bring me flowers anymore.
